When we’re at my grandma’s all the girls are either ‘Marianne’ or ‘Johanne’ and the boys are all called ‘Bo’.

Nikolaj. It’s not even close to my name.

All the damn time. Sometimes she calls me by my sister’s name. Sometimes she calls me by one of the cats’ names.

Sara(h). My mum’s sister is called Sarah and my half sister (Dad’s daughter) is called Sara. I get that name a lot. Doesn’t much bother me though.

My mom sometimes calls me Hope, which is my aunt’s name. I’m not particularly bothered.

My dad has 7 children, 5 of which are girls. Of COURSE he’s called me by the wrong name. He’d go through the Rolodex of his daughter’s names before saying, “whatever the hell your name is!”
(We possibly still make fun of him for this.)

At this point I am just known as The Girl Child

My dad has called my by his girlfriends name a disturbing number of times.
I’m just waiting for my mom to forget it all together.

We always got some hybrid of our names. My littlest sister was called “Caromeliabeth!” more times than you can count.
